The working principle of a wire drawing machine is based on the work-hardening property of metals. When a metal wire passes through a die (drawing die), the inner diameter of the die is smaller than the original diameter of the wire. Under tensile force, the wire undergoes plastic deformation, reducing its cross-sectional area and increasing its length. This process requires strict control of the relationship between tensile stress and the material's yield strength: if the stress is too low, the deformation will be insufficient; if the stress is too high, the wire may break.

Modern wire drawing machines use hydraulic systems or servo motors to precisely control the tensile force, ensuring uniform deformation. For example, the hydraulic pipe installation method (such as the hydraulic pipe layout in the product parameters) provides stable pressure transmission, avoiding surface defects in the wire caused by pressure fluctuations.
